How to use the Daily Percent
- Every day at 00:00 UTC there is one new puzzle with five percentage questions — the same for everyone in the world.
- Type your answer or drag the slider, then tap Lock it in. No calculators — mental maths only (we trust you).
- The closer you are, the more points you get (up to 100 per round): 🟩 within 2%, 🟨 within 8%, 🟧 within 20%, 🟥 further off.
- Copy your emoji grid and paste it into the group chat. Come back tomorrow to keep your streak alive.
Quick tricks: 10% is the number with the decimal point moved one place, so 37% of 260 is 26 × 3.7 ≈ 96. A % increase is (new − old) ÷ old × 100.

What is the Daily Percent Challenge?
A free daily maths game in the spirit of Wordle: five quick percentage puzzles per day, scored by how close your answer is. Everyone gets the same puzzle, so you can compare scores with friends.
When does the new puzzle come out?
A new puzzle unlocks every day at midnight UTC. The countdown on the results screen shows exactly how long is left until the next one.
How is my score calculated?
Each round is worth up to 100 points. An answer within 0.5% of the correct value scores the full 100; after that you lose points the further off you are, reaching zero at 25% away. The maximum daily score is 500.
How do I work out a percentage in my head?
Find 10% by moving the decimal point one place left, 1% by moving it two places, then scale up. For example 37% of 260 is 10% (26) × 3 plus 7 × 1% (2.6 each), which is 78 + 18.2 = 96.2.
How do I calculate percentage increase or decrease?
Subtract the old value from the new one, divide by the old value and multiply by 100. Going from 120 to 150 is (150 − 120) ÷ 120 × 100 = 25% increase.
