How to use the Spin the Wheel
- Type or paste your entries — one per line or separated by commas. Names, emails, phone numbers, prizes or tasks all work.
- Optionally give the draw a title, pick wheel colours, and turn on Hide emails & phone numbers if you’re sharing your screen.
- Press SPIN (or hit Space). The wheel picks a winner completely at random.
- Choose Remove & spin again to draw the next winner from the remaining entries, or set Winners to draw several in one go.
- Copy the winners list, download it as CSV, or share the winner card. Use fullscreen mode for live events and streams.
Frequently asked questions
Is the spin the wheel picker really random and fair?
Yes. The winner is chosen before the animation starts using your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, so every entry has exactly the same chance. The spinning animation then lands on that pre-chosen winner — the speed, number of turns and stopping point don’t affect the odds.
How do I pick multiple winners?
Set the Winners box to the number you need (up to 50) and press Draw. The wheel spins once per winner and removes each winner before the next spin, so nobody wins twice. Tick “Allow the same entry to win more than once” if repeats are allowed.
Can I remove the winner and spin again?
Yes. After each spin choose “Remove & spin again” to take the winner off the wheel and immediately draw the next one, or “Keep & spin again” to leave them on. There’s an Undo button if you remove someone by mistake.
Is my list of names, emails or phone numbers private?
Your entries never leave your device. They’re not uploaded to any server and are not added to the page link — the list is only saved in your own browser so it’s still there next time. Turn on “Hide emails & phone numbers” to mask contact details on the wheel and in the winner announcement.
How many entries can the wheel hold?
Up to 2,000 entries. With very large lists the labels become too small to print, but every entry still has its own slice and an equal chance of winning.
Can I use it for an Instagram or YouTube giveaway?
Yes — paste the usernames or emails of eligible entrants, give the draw a title, and use fullscreen mode to record or stream the spin. You can share or download a winner card image and export all winners as a CSV for your records.
Does it work with duplicate entries?
Duplicates are allowed and each copy gets its own slice, which is a simple way to give someone extra chances. Use “Remove duplicates” to make every entry unique.
