1. What should the code do?
We add https:// automatically if you leave it out. The code links straight to this address — no redirects, so it never expires.

Medium · ~15% · a good default for screens and clean prints. Higher levels survive more damage but make the code denser.
The standard is 4. Go lower only if your design already has white space around the code.
How to use the QR Code Generator
- Pick what the code should do — open a website, take a UPI payment, join Wi-Fi, save a contact, start a WhatsApp chat and more — or tap a one-tap template such as Shop UPI or Guest Wi-Fi.
- Fill in the details. The preview updates instantly and is checked with a real QR decoder — look for “Verified — scans as expected”.
- Style it: choose a pattern (square, rounded, dots, classy or fluid), corner shapes, colours or a gradient, a centre icon or your own logo, and a frame with a call to action like “Scan to pay”.
- Download a PNG for WhatsApp, Instagram or documents, an SVG for professional printing, or open the A4 print sheet to print counter stickers at an exact size.
- Before printing lots of copies, scan the code with two different phones — and for UPI, make a ₹1 test payment.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a UPI QR code for my shop?
Choose UPI payment (or tap the Shop UPI template), enter your UPI ID (like yourshop@okaxis — find it in your UPI app under Profile) and your shop name. Leave the amount empty so customers type it, or set a fixed amount for a set price. Download the PNG or open the A4 print sheet, print it at 5–8 cm and stick it on your counter. It works with any UPI app, goes straight to your account and never expires. Always make a ₹1 test payment before displaying it.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: your link, UPI ID or Wi-Fi details are stored directly inside the pattern, with no redirect service in between. There is no subscription and nothing to renew, so the code keeps working for as long as the destination does. If you change your link or UPI ID later, just make a new code.
Can I put my logo in a QR code?
Yes. Upload your logo (PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP) or pick a built-in icon, then adjust the size. The tool automatically switches to the highest error-correction level (H), clears space for the logo on a rounded plate and caps the size so the code still scans — the live check confirms it. Your logo stays on your device and is never uploaded.
How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi?
Choose Wi-Fi (or the Guest Wi-Fi template), type the network name exactly as it appears on your phone, enter the password and pick the security type — WPA/WPA2/WPA3 for almost all modern routers. Guests point their camera at the code and tap Join; it works on iPhone and Android. The password stays on your device and is not added to the page link.
What size should I print a QR code?
For a typical code, print it at least 2–3 cm wide; 5 cm is a good size for shop counters and table tents, and 8 cm or more for posters. A useful rule is that a code scans from about 10 times its width — a 5 cm code from roughly 50 cm away. Codes with lots of content are denser and need to be bigger; the tool shows a recommended minimum for your exact code. Print at 100% scale and keep the white border around it.
Is it free? Is there a watermark?
Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on downloads. You get high-resolution PNG (up to 6000 px), vector SVG for professional printing, and a print-ready A4 sheet. Everything is generated in your browser, so your details are never uploaded.
Why won’t my QR code scan?
The most common causes are low contrast (the code must be clearly darker than its background — light-on-dark codes fail in many apps), a logo that is too large, a missing white border (quiet zone), or printing too small for the amount of content. This tool checks every design with a QR decoder and warns you about these problems before you download.
Can I make a QR code for WhatsApp or a business card?
Yes. The WhatsApp option opens a chat with your number (with an optional pre-filled message) using the official wa.me link format. The Contact option creates a vCard, so scanning offers to save your name, phone, email, company, website and address straight into the phone’s contacts.
